"Is Weight Loss a Mental or Physical Game?"

       Is weight loss a mental game or a physical game?  I suggest to you that weight loss is predominantly a mental game! Let's really think about this! I truly believe that weight loss entails a great deal of prayers, thought, organization, structure and evaluation.
       My new book, "Think Thin!" Thinking Your Way to Thinutopia!," emphasizes the need to thoroughly think your way to Thinutopia (a place where people feels good about their weight).  I find my self strategizing, planning how to lose weight and following through on those plans!  You have to work out a weight loss plan and you must stick to the plan.  What good is a plan if you do not use it?
      Therefore, I know that healthy weight loss is mostly a mental game even though exercise is an integral part of any weight loss plan!   I suggest that we all must play this game to the best of our abilities to reach our weight loss goals! Do you think weight loss is predominantly a physical game?  Please convince me!

"Its Not What You Are Eating!" "Its What's Eating You II!"

     Your excess unhealthy weight may not be totally caused by what you are consuming!  Yes, we are all very guilty of consuming our most favorite decadent foods and I may add we enjoy those foods!  However, I know for a fact that my unhappy feelings play a major role in my excess weight gain.  I know that when something is eating me (making me feel sad) I tend to be less observant of what I am eating  and how much I am eating.  I eat more "comfort" foods to make me feel better.  They only make me feel better for a temporary period of time and then I am in search of more "comfort " foods,  and I consume them, gain more weight, and the cycle continues!
     We must stop this never ending cycle.  It is time to make positive changes and get to the root of what's causing us to overeat?  Ask and answer the question, "What In This World Is Eating Me?"  Find the answer to this proverbial question and you may find the answer to your weight loss dilemma!

Thinutopian Diet Tips!

Here are several diet tips that will help you on your journey to Thinutopia!

1.  Pray to God for wisdom, self-control, peace, and will power.
2.  Then consult your physician before you start any weight loss program.
3.   Next it is important to drink more water.
4.  The next step is to create an exercise program that is feasible for you.
      Do not set lofty goals that you know you will not reach.
      Exercise at least 30 minutes per day.
5.   The next step is to decrease your intake starting with smaller portions.
6.   Then eat more vegetables and fruit.
7.  Yes, you do need protein also but watch the quantity and quality of the protein that you consume.
8.   Eat less bread and breading
9. Take the foods that tempt you the most and place them out of your sight...Out of sight out of mind!
10.  You do not live to eat...You eat to live!

"How Badly Do You Want to Lose the Excess Weight?"

     How badly do you want to lose that excess weight?  Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?
I can remember walking by a store window in a mall and I wondered why my body appeared to be larger than life!  I thought to myself, "That can't possibly be me!"  "I am not that overweight!"  But I knew the answer and everyone around me knew the answer!  I was unhappy about my weight and I am now determined to continue to do something about my weight!  Even though I have lost 37 pounds, I still need to lose more weight to reach my healthy weight goal.
   How did I lose 37 pounds in 4 months?  I prayed a lot!  I also asked God  for guidance, wisdom, strength, self-control, grace and mercy.  God showed up and showed out and gave me so much more!  I started with a healthy weight loss plan, I changed my diet by incorporating more fruits and vegetables, and I eat less (portions), I drink more water, and exercise at least 30 minutes per day.  I also work on my attitude.  I find that I lose weight faster if I am in a good mood.  I admonish you to talk to your physician before you take on a new weight loss program!
